Preview. Gift & Curse is being registered as a business. Until that is complete, this page shows how things will work, and paid bookings are not open yet. The business details are added here once registration is done.
These terms explain how booking, paying, changing and cancelling work. I have tried to keep them short and plain. If anything is unclear, write to me at info@giftandcurse.com before you book.
1. Who I am
Gift & Curse is run by Begüm Dvorak. The business is being registered in the Czech Republic.
- Business ID (IČO): being assigned
- Registered address: added once registration is complete
- Email: info@giftandcurse.com
- VAT status: confirmed at registration
In these terms, “I” and “me” mean Begüm Dvorak. “You” means the person who books and pays.
2. What I offer, and what I do not
Sessions are educational and consultative support for neurodivergent people and the people around them. They are not therapy, psychological or medical treatment, diagnosis, or crisis care. Please read the scope of practice before you book.
If you are in crisis, please do not wait for a session. See crisis resources.
3. Sessions
- A session is 50 minutes, online by Zoom or Google Meet. In-person sessions are possible where agreed.
- I send the meeting link by email after your booking is confirmed.
- If you join late, the session still ends at the booked time. I wait 15 minutes; after that the session counts as missed.
- Sessions are not recorded unless both of us agree in writing beforehand.
4. Booking and when the contract starts
- You choose a time, fill in your details, choose a single session or a session box, and choose how to pay.
- You confirm that you have read these terms and the privacy policy.
- The contract starts when I send you an email confirming your booking.
If something goes wrong on my side (for example, the time was already taken), I tell you and refund anything you paid in full.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown on the booking page in US dollars and are final. Whether VAT applies is confirmed when registration is complete.
- You pay in advance, when you book: by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer.
- For bank transfer, your booking is tentative and not binding until the payment arrives. Your time is not held for you in the meantime, and someone else may book it. If the payment has not arrived within 48 hours of booking, the booking is cancelled automatically, even if no one else has booked the time. If your session is sooner than that, please choose another payment method.
- Payments are handled by the payment provider. I never see or store your full card details.
- I send you a receipt or invoice by email.
6. Changing or cancelling a session
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| 24 hours or more before the session | Change the date or cancel for free. You get a full refund, or the session goes back into your box. |
| Less than 24 hours before, or you do not come | The session is charged, or counted as used from your box. |
| I cancel for any reason | You choose: a new time, or a full refund for that session. |
| Technical problem on my side | We find a new date and time, free of charge. |
If something serious happens to you at short notice, please write to me anyway. I look at every situation with care.
7. Session boxes
- A box is a set of sessions at a lower price per session: Monthly (4 sessions), Half-year (24 sessions) or Yearly (48 sessions).
- Sessions in a box are valid for one year from the day you buy. Sessions not used within that year expire.
- A box is for one person. If you would like to give it to someone else, write to me before the first session.
- You can choose a fixed weekly time or book whenever suits you within the year.
- After the 14-day withdrawal period (section 9), a box is not refundable. The sessions stay yours to use within the year.
- If something serious happens, such as a long illness, write to me. We can pause the box or find a fair solution together.
8. Subscriptions
If you choose a subscription, your box renews automatically when its sessions are used up, at the price shown when you bought it.
- I email you at least 7 days before each renewal payment.
- You can cancel at any time by email. Cancelling stops the next renewal; sessions you have already paid for stay valid.
9. Your right to withdraw (14 days)
If you book as a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day it starts, without giving a reason.
- If you ask me to start within the 14 days (for example, your first session is next week), you ask for this when you book. If you then withdraw, you pay only for the sessions you have already had, at the price per session of what you bought. I refund the rest.
- A single session that has fully taken place within the 14 days, at your request, can no longer be withdrawn from. You confirm that you understand this when you book.
- To withdraw, send me a clear message by email. You can use the form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.
- I refund you within 14 days of receiving your message, using the same payment method, unless we agree otherwise. You pay no fees for the refund.
10. Children and teenagers
Sessions for children and teenagers are booked by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on the child’s behalf. A parent or guardian should be reachable during every session with a child.
11. Confidentiality
What you share in sessions stays between us. I break confidentiality only where the law requires it, or where I believe there is a serious and immediate risk to someone’s life or safety. Where possible, I tell you first.
12. Your part
Sessions work best when you tell me what is true for you. You remain responsible for your own decisions, and for seeking medical, psychological or legal help where you need it.
13. Liability
I deliver sessions with care and in line with my scope of practice. I cannot promise a particular result. Nothing in these terms limits my liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including harm to health or life, or damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
14. Materials
Worksheets, tools and materials I share with you are for your personal use. Please do not copy, sell or publish them.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, write to info@giftandcurse.com. I confirm receipt and give you a response within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), which handles out-of-court consumer disputes: adr.coi.cz. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority also supervises consumer protection. My trade licence is supervised by the relevant Trade Licensing Office.
16. Workplaces
Workshops, consulting, training and keynote speaking for organisations are agreed in a separate written proposal or contract. Sections 9 and 15 apply only to consumers.
17. Law and changes
These terms are governed by Czech law. If you live outside the Czech Republic, you keep any mandatory protections your local consumer law gives you.
I may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one shown on the day you book.
