We design Gift & Curse to be usable by neurodivergent people first: predictable navigation, plain words, no scroll-jacking, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
Turning motion down
Use the motion switch in the header (the wave icon next to the light/dark switch). Your choice is remembered in this browser. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site follows that automatically.
With motion turned down:
- the background video on the front page stops on a still frame;
- animations and transitions finish at once;
- moving elements, such as the pattern tiles on the front page, stay still.
What we are still fixing
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA and check the site with automated accessibility tests. These are the gaps we know about:
- Some text and buttons in sage green do not yet have enough contrast against the light background.
- One sideways-scrolling area cannot yet be reached with the keyboard alone.
- Contrast and text-size switches are planned but not built yet.
